Authentication Procedures

Authentication Procedure:

1.Court-certified translation of original document.

2.Authentication of the document at the Slovenian Ministry of Justice.

3.Authentication of the document at the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affaires.

4.Authentication of the document at the Embassy of PRC in Slovenia.

After completing above mentioned 《3. Authentication of the document at the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affaires》, please write to this email: ljubljana@csm.mfa.gov.cn to arrange the date and time of appointment.

Neccessary documents:

1.Original document with translation, legalised by Slovenian Ministry of Justice and Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affaires.

2.Completed Aplication Form of Notarization/Legalization. The Application Form has to be completed on the computer, we do not accept hand-written forms.

3. One copy of the original document.

4. In case of Legalisation/Notarization of a company document, please provide a copy of the ID card or passport of the company’s legal representative.

5. If the applicant of the Legalisation Application is not the company’s legal representative, please provide Authorisation of company’s legal representative.

6. A copy of the ID card or passport of the applicant (the person who brings the documents).

Documents can generally be processed in a week. The fee is 18 euros for foreign citizens (6 euros for Chinese citizens) per civil document and 36 euros for foreign citizens (13 euros for Chinese citizens) per document regarding property, finance and business.

Applicants are required to pay the consular fee when picking up consular documents with maestro card (bank card with the word "maestro" on it) and pick-up form on the designated date at the Consular Office. The Consular Office will not accept cash or e-payment for the consular fee.
